The first inaugural Russia-Africa summit is taking place in Sochi on 23-24 October 2019. Over 50 African leaders and 3,000 delegates from African and Russia are at the summit. Topics of discussion will range from nuclear energy to the extraction of natural resources. The Russian president will be holding a series of talks with at least a dozen African leaders. Bilateral talks are expected to extend beyond the summit itself. Recently we were honoured to host Senior Lecturer Dr Gasheja Faustin, PhD Ag Principal of the College of Business and Economics at the University of Rwanda. This visit was a part of a study research tour. Last year SGH Warsaw School of Economics signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Rwanda. This bilateral agreement indicates a common line of action in the fileds of research activities and publications, joint events, seminars, conferences, academic meetings and programs, as well as the exchange of staff and students.
